Section 7 of the National Labor Relations Act (the Act) guarantees employees "the right to self-organization, to form, join, or assist labor organizations, to bargain collectively through representatives of their own choosing, and to engage in other concerted activities for the purpose of collective bargaining. We know the law and we will protect your rights guaranteed by Federal law.
UNION NEGOTIATIONS
Negotiating union contracts is a skill that takes many years of experience to learn. As part of our commitment to negotiate the very best contract on your behalf we will be providing you an attorney to lead negotiations on your behalf. Being nuclear officers ourselves we know how to identify goals and develop a bargaining strategy to achieve those goals and reach our objectives.
UNION ORGANIZING
We help assist you in forming a security union under NUNSO at your work-site from beginning to the end. This includes running your campaign, filing your petition, communicating with the NLRB in preparation of signing an election agreement and achieving victory through a NLRB secret ballot election.
DISPUTE RESOLUTION
Once we negotiate your CBA we help assist your local executive board in ensuring your Employer does not violate your new collective bargaining agreement (CBA).
UNION MEETINGS
As part of our plan to better communicate with each other we plan to have quarterly meetings at different locations making it easier for all nuclear officers to attend and get involved in NUNSO.

Our Union is a full service Labor organization that handles all types of litigation from filing unfair labor charges on your behalf with the NLRB to arbitration's to Department of Labor filings.

OUR VISION
There are 61 commercially operating nuclear power plants with 99 nuclear reactors in 30 U.S. states (the Indian Point Energy Center in New York has two nuclear reactors that the U.S. Energy Information Administration counts as two separate nuclear plants). See a list of nuclear facilities within the U.S.
Our vision is to unite and bring professionalism to all nuclear security officers throughout the industry. We do this by making contact with other nuclear security officers from around the country. We need share information about our wages benefits and our working conditions to get a better understanding on what other nuclear security officers are receiving at both unionized facilities and non union facilities alike.
Once we are able to set up a better communication network between each facility we can then begin to prepare to help each other achieve the wages and benefits we all deserve.
